Credit Points

Definition

Credit points (also ECTS points or credits) measure the workload of a study program. One credit point corresponds to approximately 25-30 working hours. A Bachelor's program comprises 180-240 ECTS, a Master's program 60-120 ECTS. Credit points are standardized throughout Europe and enable recognition of academic achievements when changing universities.

Example: "The financial management module is worth six credit points."
