    GMAT Preparation in 90 Days: The Realistic Plan

    A successful GMAT prep takes 100–150 study hours for a 650+ target and 200–300 hours for 700+. Proven 90-day plan: weeks 1–2 diagnostic & basics, weeks 3–8 topic blocks (Quant, Verbal, Data Insights), weeks 9–11 full-length tests, week 12 dress rehearsal & taper. In Quant the main issue is lack of mental-math routine without a calculator – daily 15-minute mental-math drills are mandatory.

    How long does GMAT preparation take?+

    At least 8–12 weeks with 12–15 hours/week. For a 700+ target, 200–300 study hours over 3–6 months are standard. Stretching beyond 6 months often loses momentum – better to do focused blocks.

    Can I take the GMAT online from home?+

    Yes, GMAT Focus Online has been fully equivalent to test-center delivery since 2023 and is accepted by all MBA programs. Requirements: stable internet, quiet separate room, webcam, external whiteboard allowed.

    How often can I retake the GMAT?+

    Maximum 5 times per 12 months, 8 times lifetime. Minimum 16 days between attempts. Schools see the highest score, but some request all reports.

    What does the GMAT cost in Germany, Austria and Switzerland?+

    Test center: €295 (DE/AT), CHF 300 (CH). Online: €300. Score cancel/reinstate: €25. Additional score reports: €35 per school. No score extension beyond 5 years – retake required.
