ECTS

Definition

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is the European system for crediting and transferring academic achievements. It enables Europe-wide comparability and recognition of academic achievements. 60 ECTS points correspond to one year of full-time study (approx. 1,500-1,800 working hours).

Example: "The MBA comprises 90 ECTS and is therefore comparable across Europe."
