Soft Skills
Definition
Soft Skills are interpersonal and personal competencies taught in MBA programs alongside technical content. Core competencies include: Leadership (leadership styles, team management, motivation), Communication (presentation techniques, negotiation, persuasive appearance), Teamwork (group dynamics, conflict management, intercultural collaboration), Emotional Intelligence (self-awareness, empathy, relationship management), Critical Thinking (analyzing complex situations, strategic decision-making), and Networking. These skills are developed through group work, leadership workshops, coaching sessions, and presentations. Soft skills are often more decisive for career success than technical knowledge.
Example: "The negotiation training deliberately develops soft skills."
