Human Skills

Definition

Human skills (also called power skills) are competencies that are hard to automate: negotiation, empathy, leadership ethics, conflict resolution, storytelling and strategic resilience. As reproducible expertise loses value through generative AI, top business schools are shifting the focus of their MBA curricula toward human skills – complementing data fluency and AI governance.

Example: "The more tasks are automated, the more human skills such as facilitation matter."
