AI Governance
Definition
AI governance is the framework of principles, processes and controls through which organizations steer the use of artificial intelligence – from data quality and model transparency to ethics and legal compliance (EU AI Act, GDPR). In the 2026 MBA curriculum it is a central leadership competence: managers must decide which AI use cases are permissible, which risks are acceptable and which governance roles (e.g. AI officer, data protection officer) are required.
