Networking
Definition
Networking refers to the systematic building and maintenance of professional contacts. In the MBA context, networking is one of the most important benefits and includes building relationships with fellow students, alumni, lecturers, and corporate representatives. A strong network provides access to job offers, business partnerships, mentoring, and industry knowledge. MBA programs promote networking through group work, alumni events, company visits, and international study trips.
Example: "At the networking dinner he met his future co-founder."
