Master's Degree
Definition
The Master is a postgraduate academic degree obtained after a Bachelor's degree. Master's programs last 1-2 years (60-120 ECTS) and deepen subject knowledge. There is a distinction between consecutive and non-consecutive Master's programs as well as between Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Science (M.Sc.) and specialized degrees such as the MBA.
Example: "After the Master's, both a doctorate and entering the job market are open to him."
