What are the M7 business schools?
The "Magnificent Seven" (M7) are the seven most prestigious US business schools: Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, Wharton (UPenn), Chicago Booth, Kellogg (Northwestern), MIT Sloan and Columbia Business School. They form the informal elite of US MBA programs.
The term originated in the 1990s from an informal deans' meeting of these seven schools. While not an official ranking, it is firmly established in the recruiting world and among applicants worldwide.
