LinkedIn reports on the best US employers 2022

LinkedIn Top Companies is a ranking of the 50 companies that invest in their talent and help their employees build careers that enable them to achieve long-term success. Top companies include Amazon, Alphabet (Google's parent company), Wells Fargo, and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

The ranking is based on LinkedIn data related to seven key pillars of career development: advancement opportunities, skills growth, company stability, external opportunities, company affinity, gender diversity, and educational background distribution.

AMAZON: COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION FOR CORPORATE EMPLOYEES

Amazon, the country's second-largest private employer after Walmart, Inc., leads this year's LinkedIn ranking primarily due to its competitive recruitment and extensive investment in training initiatives.

The company recently announced plans to raise the maximum base salary for corporate employees to $350,000. Amazon also increased average wages for more than half a million warehouse workers last year.

Career development initiatives are also a key reason Amazon is at the top of the ranking this year. The company is investing $1.2 billion over the next three years to expand its education and training initiatives. Amazon's Career Choice program covers 100% of tuition fees for frontline employees and includes high school diploma programs, GEDs, and English certificates.
