The History of the University of Economics goes back to 1919, when the commercial college was founded. During the Second World War it was shut down by the Nazis. Eight years later, in 1953, it was reopened as University of Economics, Prague. Today 20000 students are taught by over 700 professors and business experts at six faculties. The school has over 200 international partnerships and it was honored with different prices and rankings for example by Financial Times or Eduniversal Ranking.
